Bill Maher Talks About Pharmaceutical, Medical and Food Industries

There are big things wrong with the medical and health care (are they the same thing?) system in developed nations today. There is also much wrong with the food and beverage industry, much wrong with the pharmaceutical industry. There is just too much emphasis on profits, on dangerous drugs, and not enough on simple, effective, natural remedies, like nutrition and exercise.

In the following short, 4-minute clip, which was aired in Sept 2007, Bill Maher takes a dig at the abovementioned areas. It’s a good watch - a lot of important information, and at the same time also a good laugh. Enjoy! (more…)

Health Benefits of Volunteer Work

Do you do volunteer work? If you do, then good for you! Many of us, perhaps even most of us, have thought about volunteering our time for needy people or needy causes. But, somehow, excuses and reasons always crop up. ‘Next time’, or ‘one day’, are typical thought processes.

Besides helping others who are in need, volunteerism also gives ourselves a big boost. And we’re not just talking emotionally or mentally, but in terms of physical health, too. The wise men are correct - when we give, we receive, too. (more…)

The role of mental and emotional health and wellbeing in the prevention of disease as well as the promotion of good health and vitality cannot be over-emphasized. They are, quite simply put, absolutely crucial.

In fact, some healing modalities place mental and emotional issues at the top of the list of all causes of diseases. Certainly, trauma, stress and negativity in these areas are extremely toxic to our bodies, perhaps even more so than physical toxins and poisons. In this article, a few studies linking cancer and mental and emotional outlook are briefly discussed, and links are provided to more detailed write-ups. (more…)

German New Medicine - A Woman’s Healing From Ovarian Cancer and Peritoneal Tumors

Have you ever heard of German New Medicine, or GNM for short? I hadn’t, until I recently conversed with a lady who fully recovered from ovarian cancer and peritoneal tumors using this system of healing.

Basically, based on my limited understanding, GNM is a healing protocol based on the fundamental assumption that disease has its root in emotional issues, in other words, that all diseases originate from unexpected shock experiences. (more…)

US Government Pushing New Food Control Laws; Health Freedom Under Further Threat?

Category: conventional medicine, health freedom – All 4 Natural Health – 3:52 am

More on Health and Food Freedom. The new American administration is said to be pushing new laws and regulations in the area of food production. Some people have said that organic farming could be so highly regulated that organic farms will be put out of business; some say that organic farming, and even home gardening, could be criminalized!

Others say these are exaggerations. I have not, and do not intend to, read the draft bills. But what is quite certain is that the language of the new laws are rather vague and wide-reaching, thus allowing for broad-based regulation and control. Watch the following two short video clips for an idea. Read, too, the article linked to at the bottom. (more…)

Health Benefits of Fish and Fish Food Products

Category: brain health, cancer, food + diet + nutrition, omega 3 fatty acids – All 4 Natural Health – 8:44 am

Fish is highly lauded by many experts as a food with significant health benefits. This applies quite specifically to wild-caught fish, as farm-raised fish, like many commercially farmed animals, are fed many undesirable substances in less-than-ideal living conditions.

Another point of concern is heavy metal contamination. Because fish do not have a mechanism for getting rid of heavy metals from their bodies, these substances tend to accumulate in their bodily tissues. With our waters becoming increasingly contaminated, fish are beginning to contain increasing amounts of mercury. Mercury, of course, is a deadly toxin. (more…)

Mainstream Media Reporting on Pharmaceutical Drugs Skewed Towards Corporate Interests

Category: conventional medicine – All 4 Natural Health – 2:16 am

If you hadn’t realized by now, the mainstream media is a highly biased and highly censored source of information. It has its “masters”, both political and corporate in nature, to serve.

On television and in magazines, we frequently see advertisements proclaiming the wondrous health benefits of pharmaceutical drugs. But nobody is telling us how many thousands (of people) these drugs are harming and killing each day. Be careful of the media - it is a subtle brainwashing machine. Well, perhaps not so subtle after all. (more…)

Arthroscopic knee surgery is said to be a very commonly carried out operation. However, it may not bring the desired benefits as far as osteoarthritis and arthritis-related physical disability are concerned, as highlighted in the following article.

If more studies were carried out on different types of surgical procedures, I am certain that there will be many more which show up as failing to bring expected or promised benefits. Generally speaking, surgeries are hugely overdone in modern medicine today, in particular those used to fix chronic and degenerative health conditions. (more…)
