Drinking More Water Can Reduce Death from Heart Attacks

Category: air + water, food + diet + nutrition, heart health – All 4 Natural Health – 1:27 am

A study conducted a Loma Linda University found that adults who drank 5 or more glasses of water per day were about 50% less likely to pass on because of a heart attack.

For the study, the research team had looked at the water consumption habits of more than 20,000 people, including both men and women, in the Adventist Health Study.

Other associations were drawn between water and health. Poignantly, as far as heart health was concerned, the study team ranked drinking more water very close to stopping smoking.

Water is a critical nutrient. It carries nutrients, flushes away toxins, regulates temperature in the body, as well as acts as a lubricant. It helps to regulate blood pressure and digestion, and also improves both mental and physical performance.

Drink more water! And make sure it is clean, by using a filter. Tap water, although potable, just doesn’t cut it anymore.
